Celebration Event 26th April

Despite some typically British weather, the celebration event to mark the official launch of our CCF (RAF) Unit, and the opening of the refurbished buildings on Tuesday 26th April was a great success.
Guests were treated to a gymnastics display, musical items which included a song performed by the cast of the upcoming production of Billy Elliot, together with pieces by the Brass and Sax Groups, and a dance display. They then toured the school with student guides. Chair of Governors, Mrs Sue Leake, spoke to invited guests and outlined the significance of the building works, the Cadet Unit, and the implications and opportunities of the newly-formed multi-academy trust, Christleton Learning Trust.
The cadets paraded and were inspected by our guest of honour, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, Mr David Briggs MBE KStJ, who unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.
