Duke of Edingburgh - Silver Training Day - Year 10 - Conway

After a speedy equipment, check the cohort of sixty-nine students headed to Loggerheads Country Park.  We met with instructors from the Conway Centre, split into seven teams, set off into the hills, and surrounding countryside from Llanferres.

Concentrating on expedition skills, teams spent the day refreshing map work and navigation skills, working through an emergency situation and getting to grips with bearings.

The weather was a wakeup call compared to June expeditions.  Fingers crossed that the Easter expeditions have favourable conditions.
