Give Love in a Box - students support Christmas shoebox appeal - Teams4U

(Posted on 27/11/17)
Students and teachers across the school have been busy making Christmas shoeboxes for the charity Teams4U run by founder Dave Cooke.
It is over 25 years since the Cooke family originated the idea of the ‘Christmas Shoebox’, asking children in the UK to fill shoeboxes with stocking fillers for Romanian orphans.
Teams4U takes shoeboxes out to vulnerable children in Eastern Europe who will not receive any other presents this year. Filled with small items such as hats, colouring materials, toys and sweets the shoeboxes are distributed by a team of volunteers, often working in sub zero temperatures.
Dave says, “Teams4U is all about drawing alongside children, showing them someone cares about them and believes in them.” Christleton High has been delighted to support him in reaching out to some of Europe’s poorest children.
