Christleton High School Students

Headteacher's update to Parents and Carers following the Prime Minister's briefing on 10 May 2020

(Posted on 11/05/20)

Dear Parents and Carers

Following the Prime Minister's briefing last night, I can confirm that the situation at Christleton High School remains as it has been since Emergency School Provision started on 23rd March, in that we remain open only to those identified students of key workers and vulnerable students.

The Prime Minister stated that primary schools may reopen to certain Year groups from 1st June, and he expressed a hope that schools may reopen for Year 10 and Year 12 students before the end of the summer term. We have progressed our plans for an emergency timetable for those two Year groups as and when it proves necessary. In the meantime, we continue with our home learning plans and once again thank you for your support with this. We continually review our provision and make amendments as necessary.

Please keep an eye on our website for further updates, and also for other news about the school, events, and activities. My weekly newsletter/blog also contains information on activities taking place in school during our emergency provision as well as more general school updates, such as changes to the school day from the next academic year.

In the meantime, stay safe, stay alert and stay healthy.

Best wishes
DP Jones
Headteacher
