Contract Type: Full-time, temporary for 12 months in the first instance, (possibility of becoming permanent).
The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, highly motivated and outstanding teacher of English to teach across the age and ability range at 11-18.
An exciting opportunity is available for the right candidate to join our busy teaching team at Christleton High School. The post holder will assist in providing a first-class education to all students in facilitating the teaching and learning of English. To succeed, you will be student-focused, able to communicate with a diverse range of people, act with pace and passion and thrive on working as part of a highly-successful department. Training and mentoring will be provided as part of the induction process.
This role is Teacher of English with additional responsibility for our year 7 nurture group. The year 7 nurture group will follow a bespoke version of the English curriculum, the design and delivery of which be the responsibility of the successful candidate, supported by the Head of Department and KS3 Coordinator, and in close collaboration with our SENDCO. The nurture group curriculum will maintain high levels of challenge and facilitate tangible progress whilst remaining accessible, engaging and enjoyable for our students with the highest levels of SEND.
