Dear Parent/Guardian and Prospective Student
Open Evening – Wednesday 27th September 2017, 18:30 – 20:30
Open Sessions – Thursday 28th, Friday 29th September 2017, 09:00 – 10:30
It is my pleasure to invite you to consider Christleton High School for your choice of secondary education. With this in mind, I hope that you will able to join us at our Open Evening and/or at our Open Sessions, during the working day.
At our Open Evening on Wednesday 27th September 2017 from 18:30 – 20:30, the Headteacher will be available, together with the Leadership Group, to answer any questions you may have. You will be given the opportunity to find out more about the subjects we offer, together with learning, assessment and extra-curricular activities. A large number of teachers from every department in the school, together with students of all ages will be based in their subject areas and be offering a huge variety of activities, hands-on experiments, and presentations for you to engage with. This is always a very popular and busy evening so please be aware that parking on site will be very limited. If you are able to walk to school, travel by public transport, or to park off site on the evening, this would be much appreciated.
At the Open Sessions on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th September 2017 from 09:00 – 10:30, you will have the freedom to visit lessons of your choice and talk with our Year 7 and 8 students about life and the learning at Christleton. This is an opportunity to tour the school during a typical school day school day, go into lessons, and get a feel for the teaching and learning experiences taking place. At the end of each session, refreshments will be served, and the Headteacher will be available to answer any questions. Visitors are asked to please arrive in school for 09:00 prompt. Once again, please be aware that parking on site, on these days, will be very limited.
I would also encourage you to visit not only Christleton, but other schools in the area; a valuable time for families to think about education and make plans for the future.
I hope you really enjoy visiting the school and, regardless of your final choice, that you feel welcomed and fully informed about what we can offer you at Christleton.
We look forward to seeing you.
Yours sincerely
Mr A J Francis
Assistant Headteacher
