Running a Photo Booth in Art on Y6 Open Evening

(Posted on 21/11/22)
Representing A Level Photography on the Y6 Open Evening, Tom Hellam and I were tasked with creating a photo booth for visiting children to take part in. We provided funny, fancy dress items to enliven positive moods and to show our visitors that the Art Department in Christleton High is a fun and exciting place to be.
We set up two chairs, one adorned with red cloth and fairy lights, along with a crown on its corner. The other chair, decorated by Tom, was white and black, with white fairy lights wrapped around it. We were joined by Y13s Alex Parker and Libby Keepence, who offered us a tremendous amount of help in securing our “clients”.
After things got started, many visitors came to get their photos taken in our booth. We were pleased that some parents joined in too. I think it was a great way to show visiting students that, in the Art Department at CHS we work together and enjoy doing so!
