Welcome to Christleton High School: is this the place for you?
Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to view this section of our website.
For most children in Years 5 and 6 and their families there are some really important decisions to make about choosing the right school for the years ahead, and we hope we can help you all with this process.
We recognise that parents, carers and children need to get a real feel for things before making these choices. We are also very proud of our school and are keen to showcase everything that we do to help make these decisions.
From this section of our website you can download our School Prospectus together with copies of The Swan, our regular school magazine.
Being able to visit the school is obviously key, so in the Autumn term we offer an annual Open Evening Event together with Open Morning sessions when you can meet our staff and students and view our facilities. The dates for this year’s events are posted onto our calendar page as soon as they are confirmed.

Once you have gone through the whole admissions process and your place here is confirmed we will let you know about our entire programme of activities which help ensure a smooth transition from primary school, including our Taster Day and New Intake Evening in the Summer term.
If you have any further questions please feel free to ask; you can email us at enquiries@christletonhigh.co.uk and we will do our very best to answer them via the website.
Please find further information with regards to our policies and other useful documents below. We do hope that this will help give you the information you need.
Thank you again for the interest you have shown in our school.

Completed forms should please be returned to the Admissions Officer at the school.
The school will write to you within five days with a decision.
Appeals
If we cannot offer you a place you have the right to appeal, which will be determined by an Independent Appeal Panel. The Admissions Appeal Form can be downloaded below.
Appeals for secondary transfer into Year 7 are held between May to July each year. The deadline for Appeals to be lodged is set and published by Cheshire West and Chester each year; the timetable for organising and hearing appeals will be published on the school website by 28 February each year.
Admission Appeal Forms and any supporting evidence should be sent to our Admissions Officer in the first instance.
You will find more information about Admission Appeals in the School Admissions Appeal Code and in the Admission Appeals Form - A Brief Guide for Parents/Carers
The deadline date for submission will be published on our calendar. Additional paperwork may be submitted up to two weeks ahead of the actual date of the Appeal hearing.
Other appeals are normally heard within thirty school days from the date the completed Admissions Appeal form is received.
You will be given the date and time of the Appeal Hearing 10 school days advance of the hearing and the school’s statement of its case will be sent to you one week in advance.
You will normally be notified of the panel’s decision in writing no later than five working days of the hearings being completed. Decisions of appeals panels are final and binding on both the Local Authority and the school.
