Traffic Disruption - Littleton Lane / A51

Please be aware that for the last week the junction at the top of Littleton Lane, where it joins the A51, has been closed for access into the villages of Littleton and Christleton. The disruption on the A51 and A55 was particularly acute on Thursday 11th April - even without extra school traffic.

We have been advised that these works are due to emergency repairs resulting from a collapsed sewer and as such, the contractor, whilst being aware of the urgency to re-open as soon as possible, is unable (as at Thursday 11th April) to confirm a re-opening date.

Therefore, we are advising you that it is possible that these roadworks may still be in place for when the school re-opens on Monday 15th April for the new term. We would therefore suggest that, if this is your normal route to access the school, you check travel news updates regularly before Monday or find an alternative route to get to school. Either way, we suggest that you allow more time for your journey.

We will, of course, update you should we receive any further information.
