Year 7 Readathon

(Posted on 03/03/20)
Year 7 are currently taking part in a Readathon. Read for Good’s vision is for all children in the UK to be given the opportunity, space and motivation to develop their own love of reading. This will benefit them throughout their lives – for good. One of the reasons children don’t read is lack of motivation. One of the things that motivates children is helping other children.
Read for Good encourages children through sponsored Readathon in schools, which helps us provide books for school libraries, and books and storytellers for children in hospital throughout the UK. Christleton High School will also benefit from this as we will receive book vouchers to spend on new exciting novels for our students.
Christleton High School has taken part in this event for many years and has so far raised over twelve thousand pounds. We would like to raise even more and with your support and the dedication of our pupils we can hopefully raise more money for this worthy cause.
